Recovering

I’ve gotten quite a bit of motion back in my knee.  For those who don’t know, I’m recovering from knee surgery.  The doc did an ACL repair.  I’m going to therapy three times per week right now.  My follow up appointment is May 15th, so I will be off work at least until then.  I’m looking forward to the doc saying that I don’t have to wear this leg brace anymore.  Around the house I’m not wearing it at all, I’m pretty much just putting it on when I go out.

Yesterday was exciting as I went for a little bike ride.  When I started therapy two weeks ago, the therapist said I would be on a stationary bike in two weeks and riding a conventional bike in four weeks.  I must be doing better than he originally thought since I rode the stationary bike in therapy all last week.  I felt pretty good yesterday, so I got my bicycle out of the basement, pumped up the tires, and took a VERY leisurely ride on my road out here.  At last, an exercise where I’m not just sitting there going nowhere!  It will take a while before I can move at a good clip, but it’s a great exercise for building my leg muscles back up.

So since I have been able to get around a little better, I’m back to posting the way I was when I was working full time.  For a while there I was posting just about every day.  My blog will probably scale back just a tad, but I’ll still try to get something up every couple of days.  I hope you all will enjoy contemplating the cross as I go through the book, Born Crucified.  Eschatology will still come up on a regular basis.  Right now I am following Sam Waldron’s critique of MacArthur’s Millennial Manifesto with great interest.  Read about it here.  The only down side is, nothing has really happened yet.  I’m hoping to see where A-Millennialism and PreMillennialism actually digress from each other, what the strengths and weaknesses of each position are, how Historical versus Dispensational PreMillennialism are portrayed, and becoming more familiar with A-Millennialist distinctives apart from replacement theology.  If the content gets pretty good, I’ll have some comments here.

Thank you all for your prayers.  I look for the LORD to continue to strengthen my knee.  I hope to be back to work before June.
