How well do you know the scriptures? In the past couple of weeks, I have seen people post a lot of scriptures designed to comfort and to give people hope. Here are some of the most frequently quoted. But do you know where they are found? Take a look through these verses and without using anything but your memory, take a little test. Write down your answers before doing any internet searches. Give yourself 1 point if you know the book of the Bible where that verse is found. Give yourself 3 points if you know the book and the chapter. Give yourself 5 points if you know the book, chapter, and verse. Then write your score below. Or post another verse without the reference to give people another challenge. At the very least, you can read through these scriptures and know that they are promises from God’s word. The easier verses are toward the beginning. Each book of the Bible is only used once.
